NHS England requires that earnings of GPs engaged in the practice are publicised, and the required disclosure is shown below.  However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how many hours GPs spend working in the practice, so it should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, or to make any comparison with any other practice.

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.  The mean earnings for GPs working in The Corner Surgery in the financial year ended 31st March 2022 was £64,081 before deduction of employee's superannuation contributions, tax and National Insurance.  This is the average pay for the 4 part-time GPs who worked at the practice for more than 6 months during that year.

We have estimated that this equates to £45.92 per hour.
