Out of Hours GP Service
The local out of hours GP service is run by PC24 (PrimaryCare:24)
If you require urgent but not life-threatening medical assistance that cannot wait until The Corner Surgery re-opens, please call 111. Following a telephone assessment by NHS111 you will be provided with information about the appropriate service for your health problem. If you are unsure which health care service you need to visit, NHS111 will signpost you to the most appropriate care for your condition - GP, local pharmacy, walk-in-centre, emergency department or an emergency ambulance response.
If you have a life-threatening medical emergency, please dial 999.
Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles (pay as you go phones need to have at least 1p of credit, although no charge is made).
Walk In Centre
West Lancashire (Ormskirk) Walk In Centre is open every day of the year, including public holidays, for people needing urgent help with minor injuries or illnesses:

7-Day GP Service (Extended Access)
Local practices are working together via our GP Federation, Southport & Formby Health Ltd., to offer patients better access to evening & weekend appointments in Southport & Formby, through a service called 7 Day GP.
The 7 day GP service operates:
- Monday to Friday 5pm - 9pm;
- Saturdays 9am - 5pm, & Sundays 9am - 1pm;
- At The Family Surgery, 107 Liverpool Rd, Birkdale, PR8 4DB.
You can book appointments and get more information by phoning our reception team. The service helps us deal with patient demand at busy times, & helps working-age patients access GP appointments on evenings & at weekends.
